Humble Beginnings: Businesses start in garages.
Two friends, fresh out of university, with a goal to challenge the shoe industry in South Africa. Retailers these days are charging exorbitant mark-ups on their shoes; and retailers do this because their overheads are huge. The more Outfoot can cut unnecessary costs, the less our customers have to pay. Outfoot started in our garage, where we stored the shoes to reduce costs and negate the need to price storage costs into our shoes; and this is the philosophy we apply throughout our business. We promise to carefully consider all input costs, and ask ourselves if there is a more prudent way.
Passion Over Profit
Outfoot was founded out of a love for footwear. We promise to preserve the passion and not get fixated on profit. It is easy for businesses to get side tracked, chase the money, and forget why they started in the first place. Yes, businesses need to make a profit in order to grow; but we want to find the right balance . We didn't start Outfoot because we want zillions in profit; we started Outfoot to share our passion for footwear and build a brand centered around our customers.

Almost sounds a bit weird, we know. We envision Outfoot selling all kinds of shoes. We obsess over footwear and are always looking for the next range, style, material, and colour. The harder we work, the better the shoes and the happier our customers.

Home is where your sole is. As a team, we knew we wanted to start this business in our home country, and what an amazing opportunity we have had to be able to do so. This way, we can create jobs and add value to the South African economy at all levels of the socio-economic spectrum.
